JFK on War

"Mankind must put an end to war, or war will put an end to mankind...War will exist until that distant day when the conscientious objector enjoys the same reputation and prestige that the warrior does today." -John F. Kennedy

The outcry I see against Michael Moore so far shows me that we haven't quite reached JFK's vision. If you believe in these words by JFK, you should see Fahrenheit 9/11. If you don't, you have a much greater need to see it.

Aside from those blindly towing a party line, I see Americans wondering why they were lied to and why this administration is the scarriest ever since Nixon. This movie will answer these questions.

Are you kidding me? Don't get me wrong, I think JFK was a great President, partly b/c he was a humitarian and was assertive military... not enough actually. By that, I mean there is not such thing as limited warfare. Anyway, he was knee deep in Vietnam and initiated the Bay of Pigs. JFK was a Democratic warbird, which is not a bad thing. If there were a JFK type Dem candidate for President, I would vote for him today. I won't be voted for that corrupt UN supporter Kerry, that's for sure.

JFK was against war but wasn't afraid of war if it were necessary.

And since when did this guy's words become scripture? Did that occur before or after sex with Monroe?

How is lying to the United Nations and ingnoring the wishes and advice of the world community better?

"JFK was against war but wasn't afraid of war if it were necessary."

But now we know there was no threat to begin with in Iraq. Didn't we really know that from the beginning?

"And since when did this guy's words become scripture? Did that occur before or after sex with Monroe?"

I would have to say not before or after. Perhaps during!

I'd love to know when and in what context that quote was made by JFK, because it seems to contradict many of his other quotes, such as:
"A young man who does not have what it takes to perform military service is not likely to have what it takes to make a living."
    -John F. Kennedy (JFK) and:

"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the survival and success of liberty."
    -John F. Kennedy (JFK) and
"I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
"I served in the United States Navy""
    -John F. Kennedy (JFK)
